Michaela May

Michaela May (she/they) has been tattooing for 6+ years. After receiving her MFA in painting and drawing (initially intending to teach at a collegiate level) they found themself feeling burnt out from academia and soon turned to tattooing. Michaela is honored to help their clients express themselves, make art, collaborate on ideas and designs, and offer some insights and support via "ink therapy".

Michaela's tattoo genres of interest include anything of the following:

  • illustrative floral/botanical/insect/nature themed

  • neo-traditional

  • ornamental and mandala designs

  • whimsical, silly/goofy/derpy/surprising

  • color or black and grey or minimalist 

Michaela is not a good fit for you if you seek styles like photorealism, new school, tribal, cyber sigilism, or anything involving the American flag/eagles, pew pews, or religious-themes. 

When not tattooing or drawing, she likes to grab a coffee and a walkie with friends, take polaroid photos, tend to her many plants, play with clay at The Workshop, and pick things up and put them back down at the gym.
